Greg Thiel's music career started off as a singer. He played Oliver in his grade school production at the age of 6. Then he switched to guitar taking group lessons but when he and his brother Pete Townsend on TV
destroy his guitar, they felt they should do the same. Also, Greg's
brother used his Neil Diamond records as cymbals. His brief but
entertaining music career seemed to be over. A few short years later he
discovered drums and recorded his first all original tape with a band
called Rusty Halo at the age of 12.
